You need to ask yourself......
several questions. First, do ratings trends and market dynamics actually support a doubling of annual rights fees for any entity? Second, what does the Big 10 offer now that it did not have before that would justify a doubling of annual rights fees? Third, even losing the NHL is NBC in a financial position to make that kind of commitment? Fourth, what is the real source and objective/motivation of these articles? Maybe these articles will prove true but, l am at least skeptical at the moment and feel like there is something else going on behind the scenes related to these posturings.
